Ila Bappa Ibrahim is a highly experienced brand advisor, community builder, and growth strategist with over 13 years of expertise in branding and marketing.
He is the founder of Mediahooch Branding and Marketing Ltd (est. 2012), a creative hub dedicated to helping founders, creatives, and businesses thrive. He also founded Northpad Nigeria in 2014, a community platform centered on the lifestyle and stories of people in Northern Nigeria. In addition, Ila initiated GirlTech Africa, a groundbreaking initiative with the goal of empowering 50 million girls by 2030 through technology and innovation.
Ila holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Adamawa State University and is currently pursuing both a Master’s degree in Computer Science at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and an MBA. His passion for business development and community advancement is directed toward building a dynamic tech ecosystem in Zaria and its surrounding areas.
Throughout his career, Ila has branded prominent brands and institutions such as the Federal Ministry of Finance, the Niger State Government, Cranes and Castles, Urbancribs, several oil and gas companies, educational institutions and NGOs like Safiyya Sickle Cell Foundation and CEDDERT.
His creative vision and strategic insight have left a lasting impact on diverse industries.
Among his many accomplishments, Ila won the prestigious competition to design the new logo for the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
As a mentor and educator, he has facilitated over 100 workshops, trained more than 2000 individuals on entrepreneurship and startup growth, and supported over 5,000 businesses in leveraging technology for capacity building and expansion.
An a public speaker, Ila has trained over 100 individuals in the art of public speaking. He has also contributed written works to Northpad Nigeria and has published articles on branding, marketing, and business development on his personal website, ilabappa.com.
Ila’s commitment to the growth of the tech and creative sectors in Northern Nigeria is unwavering. In 2021, he launched Startup Zaria, a platform designed to foster entrepreneurship and innovation in Zaria, an underserved community with immense potential. His work continues to push the boundaries of branding, entrepreneurship, and community empowerment, ensuring the region’s sustainable development.
