Abubakar Sani Abdullahi is the founder and director of The Life We Deserve Foundation and an associate at NGYouthSDGs. He is a dedicated advocate for youth empowerment, climate action, and community development. He is currently studying an MBA with a specialization in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Mizoram University, India, and an Executive Diploma in Green Finance and Climate Risk Management at Anan University, Nigeria. Additionally, he is pursuing a master’s degree in Sustainable Environmental Standards with a focus on climate change and Natural Resource Management at SPESSCE, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Motivated by his passion for social justice, Abubakar founded The Life We Deserve Foundation in Nigeria to address key social challenges. His expertise has been further shaped by prestigious fellowships, including the Climate x Leadership Fellowship with the Global Alliance of Universities on Climate and the African Climate Leaders Fellowship with GreenLead, both completed in 2024. As part of his fellowship journey, Abubakar was also selected for the prestigious Jim Leech Mastercard Foundation Fellowship on Entrepreneurship. This experience has further equipped him with the skills and insights necessary to drive entrepreneurial innovation and empower young people in his community.
With extensive experience in leading entrepreneurship and climate-related initiatives, Abubakar has focused on promoting green entrepreneurship practices. His work spans collaborations with organizations such as The Changemaker Project, Bridgers Association Cameroon, and Global Foundation for Girls. As DIFFvelopment’s Black Economic Empowerment Ambassador, he has empowered over 1,000 young people by providing them with the knowledge to build successful businesses and attain financial independence.
